Emmy had a great 12th B-Day. I have included some pictures. We shopped till we almost dropped! That girl wore me out! She got a second hole in her ears. G-Baby spent the night also. It was a good weekend, I think. Emmy really enjoyed the mall shopping. She even has money left over still. Her feet were sore afterwards LOL. She really likes the charm bracelet and she looks forward to add charms. Anyway she got what she wanted. Lunch and to spend money on what she wanted. Here looking to the 13th B-Day....

Still no second grandbaby yet, Brandy finished her last day today till after the baby is born. The due date is April 27th, but Brandy says her Dr. has said he will induce on the 17th.We will keep you posted.

Well Hello to everyone!
We are recovery from Spring Break here. My mother came to Texas from NC for a week and we all visited and went to the lake. Mom really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure she would like the camping part, but she fell in love with it. Emmy is still recovery from her ear infections. She is still on her antibiotics for her ears. We had a good family dinner for Easter at Beverlye's.

This week we are all back to work and school. Joey & Brandy are counting the minutes for the baby's birth. Brandy's feet and hands are starting to swell. Mom had a good time here, but missed her flight in Dallas. She wound up staying over night in the Dallas airport till they could get her out the next morning. This is one trip she will not forget soon.

Brian & Emmy went to Sweetwater to get pop's tractor home so I have been enjoying the day cleaning & doing the wash. Love to all
Dee

The Roses

I just wanted to take a little time and share some of the things going on in our lives. With two weeks off I actually do have a LITTLE time!

Simon has been working a lot on our backyard. With little budget he has been doing as much as he can on his own. As of today there are working sprinklers on 1/2 the yard (seen in photo). Hopefully we'll get sod on that part in the next month or so. Problem is...there's a lot of snow in the mountains and ski season may cause a time (as well as financial) challenge to completing...

We spent New Years Day hiking in the local mountains. We planned for wind and cold but not for snow and ice. You wouldn't know it by the picture, but up a little ways the trail was so icy it was dangerous. Especially in Tennis Shoes. The extra kids and woman are neighbors Ann, Alex, and Zachary.
Sierra went further with Daddy, determined to reach the top. They too ended up turning back due to the ice.

It was a great way to spend the New Year...

The girls spent a lot of time preparing for performances at the end of the year. Here are a few pictures from their programs.

4th grade and chorus performances by Sierra.

Summer's class performance - She's in green on top.

Their school had a holiday "open house" with performances and classroom visits. Summer's class had a pancake breakfast! Simon and I and all the grandparents made it. It was a fun day on the last day before break.

During the break we've just been laying low. We've gone to the movies, gotten haircuts and the kids have been playing with neighborhood friends a lot. They are currently into roller blading and bicycle riding. Tonight I went outside and there was Simon, my other kid, out in the street rollerblading with all of the kids. Another neighbor was out pushing their newborn in a stroller on roller blades with him! The weather has been beautiful since Christmas although storms are predicted the next few days. We are enjoying it while we have it.

We wish you all the best in the year to come.

Angie

Officer of the Year 2007

We're so proud of Ronny, he was Voted Officer of the Year 2007. What a great honor for him. His fellow workers in patrol all voted and he was the WINNER!! Maybe he'll be the next Sheriff!! How would that be? : )

We've had a busy weekend....We went to the Sheriff's Office Awards banquet Friday night, Daniel was at the first playoff game for Midland Christian. They won and will Play Saturday in Abeline. Then Saturday we went to Joey & Brandy's wedding. Very nice! It was a small gathering, but it was perfect. Then Kailea had a birthday party that evening so she and I went to that. We've just partied all weekend!!! Sunday we will clean house and rest.

We are ALL looking forward to our Thanksgiving break. Wish we could all be together. We will be thinking of each of you.

Glad to hear Lene is taking the steps, And our wishes for a speedy recover for Shea. Emmy called so excited last night they got a 9 point deer around dinner time. She just had to share her part in it. Including not washing her shoes because it has her proof of deer blood on it to show everyone. Here is a picture for you.

The Wedding is fast aproaching, next weekend. The shower went well, and she got most of what she had on her list, with the gift cards she recieved she was going to get her sheets & window treatments she wanted. Emmy took picutres of the shower, but most were blurred, sorry. My camera went out on Halloween so we had to use Brian's and she wasn't used to that one. Anyway, I heard pop got a deer also, but no pictures were taken. So the trip was a good one even if it was warm.
